Baltimore-based Catholic Relief Services (CRS) has partnered with award-winning photographer Jeremy Cowart to launch “Be Unafraid,” a campaign that addresses one of the main barriers to the acceptance of refugees: fear.

The campaign is aimed at sparking critical conversations in our communities between immigrants, refugees and Americans. The traveling photo exhibit will visit three cities – Chicago, Nashville, and Philadelphia – and will include a virtual reality walkthrough of a refugee camp and a pop up coffee shop providing guests a chance to talk with refugees and share their fears.

The “Be Unafraid” exhibit is part of the global Share the Journey campaign.
