The inaugural workshop of the Migration: Cities project, promoted by CAMOC, ICOM’s International Committee for the Collections and Activities of Museums of Cities, will be taking place on 6-8 February in Athens.

The workshop aims to explore the impact of the influx of migrants on contemporary cities, ranging from polarisation and exclusion to enrichment and the creation of new cultural resources, and the roles museums can have in collecting, presenting and collaborating in these processes. It will bring together museum professionals, NGO representatives, psychologists, social workers, specialists in intercultural education and (im)migrants, who will exchange ideas in a very interactive way.
